The Africa ICT Alliance (AfICTA) has elected Laïcana Coulibaly as Vice-Chair for West Africa and Olawale Osborne Oderinde as Vice-Chair for Southern Africa, following its recently concluded Board Vice-Chair elections.
Coulibaly is a cybersecurity expert and the Founder and CEO of Diamond Security Consulting, a Côte d’Ivoire-based cybersecurity firm with operations across 14 African countries. A graduate of Sikkim Manipal University, he also holds a Certificate in Leadership and Innovation from MIT. He serves on several technology and cybersecurity advisory boards and is the Commissioner General of Women Empowerment in Cybersecurity (WEC), an initiative promoting greater participation of women in the cybersecurity sector.
Oderinde, based in South Africa, is a global consultant, entrepreneur and senior strategy and institutional development practitioner with 30 years of professional experience. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the WALEOSB Group and Founder and CEO of WALEOSB Solutions, where he works across leadership, institutional development, enterprise transformation and workforce development. He is also a Doctor of Business Administration Research Fellow at Hult International Business School, with research interests in values-based leadership, organisational culture and SME performance.
Following the announcement of the election results, both newly elected Vice-Chairs expressed appreciation to AfICTA members for their confidence and pledged to work collaboratively towards advancing the Alliance’s objectives.
Induction and Presentation of Certificates of Return
Following their election, AfICTA held an induction session for the newly elected Vice-Chairs. During the session, Laïcana Coulibaly and Olawale Osborne Oderinde were formally presented with their Certificates of Return, confirming their election to the respective positions.
The induction formally ushers both leaders into their new roles as Vice-Chairs for West Africa and Southern Africa, respectively. Their appointments add renewed leadership capacity to AfICTA as the Alliance continues to advance digital transformation, cybersecurity, innovation and inclusive ICT development across Africa.
