The Vice Chair of AfICTA; Adrian Schofield says the ray of hope in the (South African) ICT Sector was the appointment of Yunus Carrim as communications minister. "He arrived as a breath of fresh air and stirred the stagnant odours of the moribund DOC. Of course, he could not work miracles and it was inevitable that the first flush of enthusiasm would get bogged down in the harsh realities.
