The voice of Africa's ICT sector — uniting stakeholders to advance a digitally inclusive continent.
The Africa Information & Communication Technologies Alliance (AfICTA) is a continental body bringing together ICT associations, companies, and institutions from across all 44 African nations. Established in 2012, AfICTA serves as the preeminent multi-stakeholder platform for the African ICT sector.
We work at the intersection of technology, policy, and business to ensure that Africa shapes — rather than simply inherits — the rules and norms of the global digital economy.
Through annual summits, quarterly webinars, policy workshops, and active participation in global Internet governance forums, AfICTA amplifies Africa's voice in decisions that affect the continent's digital future.
Representing all 44 African nations across every regional bloc.
Active engagement at WSIS, IGF, AU, and other global forums.
Connecting ICT leaders, businesses, and governments across borders.
Webinars, workshops, and training to grow Africa's ICT talent pool.
An Africa that is fully connected, digitally empowered, and actively leading in the global knowledge economy — where every citizen can leverage ICT for economic and social advancement.
To advocate for policies, investments, and partnerships that accelerate the expansion of Africa's digital infrastructure, digital literacy, and digital economy — ensuring Africa's voice is central in global ICT governance.
The AfICTA Constitution (December 2021) outlines the Alliance's governance structure, membership criteria, leadership framework, and strategic mandates. It is the foundational document guiding all AfICTA operations and decision-making.
The constitution reflects our commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and accountable leadership across all 44 African member states.
