Eric Sindeu Profile

Eric Sindeu, Central Africa Vice-Chair is a Telecommunications Engineer and Founder & CEO of KEMITEL Ltd. He has a solid experience in Telecommunications Network Performance and over 13 years in national and international electronic communications regulation and policy elaboration.

As a Numbering and Addressing Resources Manager with Cameroon’s Telecommunications Regulatory Board Eric has successfully managed:

Cameroon’s National Numbering Plan migration from 8 to 9 digits in 2014;
Cameroon’s mobile number portability project in 2017;
The international traffic fraud and By-Pass MOU between Cameroon’s mobile operators in 2018.

He doubled Cameroon’s revenue from around 5 million USD to 10 million USD between 2010 and 2018. Eric is a tech geek and a Bitcoin enthusiast and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/ Communications from Mc Gill University / Montreal, Canada, a Microwave Engineering Certificate, and an international diploma in Telecommunications Management.

The multi-disciplinary skills and knowledge he acquired over the years have led him to found KEMITEL Ltd in 2017, a company specialized in digital innovative services including IoT (asset tracking) and blockchain/DLT services, telecommunications Value-added services, satellite broadband, cybersecurity, consulting, and training, with offices in Yaoundé and Douala (Cameroon), Abidjan(Ivory Coast), and Brazzaville (Congo).

Eric is an Internet Society (ISOC) member N ° 2190016, Cameroon’s IGF/MAG board member, and Cameroon’s Basketball Federation Member.
