Mr Thabo Mashegoane, AfICTA Vice-Chairman
Thabo has over 19 years’ experience of implementing business systems which ranged from Six Sigma Process Improvement consulting, System Developer, Designer, Analyst, Enterprise / Business Architecture, and various Leadership roles in both the Financial Services and Electricity utility industry.
He is a dynamic professional who transitioned from a Chemical Engineering profession in the FMCG industry to an IT profession which spanned 10 years in the Financial Services. He was later captivated by the importance and impact of the Build programme which made him venture in the Utility space in the role of Enterprise Architecture specializing in Business Architecture.
His accomplishments include successfully starting practices from the ground up, & these include the development and implementation of the Systems Development Lifecycle, the establishment of a Software Quality Assurance function, and the establishment of an Enterprise Architecture function.
As a volunteer, Thabo had the privilege of being a director at Young Business South Africa (YBSA) in 2008; an IT career role model at Makomba Ndlela for career outreach in Science and Technology, a Trustee member at two Real Estates, an IITPSA Gauteng chapter executive committee chairperson and he is currently a National Vice President and a Non-Executive Board member of IITPSA.
